The young ones will come to Irie Camp Jamaica and wish they could stay overnight. The older ones will stay overnight and wish they never had to leave. They'll all say “Nice cyaan dun!”, and find it’s the best chance anywhere to live the Jamaican life through fun and interactive sessions.
At Irie Camp Jamaica we offer excitement, adventure, and an experience impossible to recreate anyplace else. Everyone who visits with us will come away understanding and appreciating 'their' Jamaica.
Soaking every camper in that Jamaican vibe, we give your child unimaginable experiences and memories enough to last for a lifetime. Our local experts provide exposure to age-appropriate activities, and immerse everyone in the food, music, fun, and uniqueness that is Jamaican-living.
From the moment they’re greeted with a rousing “Wah gwaan?”, every hour will be unforgettable. Whether your kids are 6 or 17, they’ll find themselves surrounded with music from the era of Toots and the Maytals right through to current sensations like Skip Marley. They’ll smell the beef patties and eat delicious drum-pan (jerk) chicken. And in all this, they’ll learn about the proud history of the Jamaican people… our people… and why it’s so important we share from one generation to the next in a world that’s increasingly inter-connected... and homogenized.

Our campers start here at age 4 - with a parent/guardian - and can return until they’re 17 (and yes, counselor opportunities are available too!). Here you’ll find children of every race and ethnicity playing side-by-side. Some come from foreign suburbs making their first international trek, others arriving from the other side of the island. There will be youngsters with us of Jamaican descent who never learned what it meant to be Jamaican… and we'll have others whose parents are visiting the island on vacation and want to discover their own version of Jamaica too.
Doan worry - all a wi a family.
Our campers use the special qualities of the island's culture to build friendships, learn new skills, explore the island’s heritage, and enjoy a level of controlled independence that permits them to see the world through new eyes. They get their Jamaica too.
The Irie Camp Jamaica team has built an environment that lets campers at every stage discover Jamaican values and incorporate them into who they want to be in the world.
